The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says five teenagers have been charged with spray-painting racist graffiti on a 19th century schoolhouse that once served black children in northern Virginia. The Washington Post reported Friday that the four 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old were charged this week with felony destruction of property, among other offenses, after a review by prosecutors found the case does not qualify as a hate crime.

A Virginia woman has been arrested after being accused of trying to poison one of her former coworkers by pouring a cleaning agent in a workplace coffee maker. Mayda E. Rivera-Juarez, 32, of Sterling, has been charged with felony assault , according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that all five of the teenagers are boys and includes three 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old from Sterling and a 16-year-old from Ashburn. Authorities will not release their name due to the fact that all involved are minors.

A change is coming to the noise standard in Loudoun County, Virginia. At a meeting Thursday night, the Board of Supervisors voted to adjust rules which govern how loud is too loud for residents, businesses and industrial operations.
